Taare Zameen Par, which means Stars on the ground, is a movie is about a gifted child who is also dyslexic. Ishaan Nandkishore Awasthi (Darsheel Safary) is an eight-year old boy who hates school and studies. He fails miserably in his tests and exams and just cannot get anything right in his class. To make matters worse, he lacks motor coordination skills and cannot even catch a ball coming from a distance. Alternatively, he is more interested in things like colors, fish, dogs and kites that are of least concern to adults. Home has nothing better to offer. Parents keep taunting him about his inability rather than helping him. Brother Yohaan (Sachet Engineer) is a scholar and athlete, a fact that Ishaan is constantly reminded of.
Humiliated and frustrated, Ishaan bunks schools for getting low grades and keeps them to himself. On discovering this, his parents decide to send him to a boarding school on the context of getting disciplined. Boarding school does nothing better to help Ishaan. Therein, he is befriended by one of the best students in the class, Rajan Damodran (Tanay Chheda). This leads Ishaan into a state of fear and depression, adding to the already traumatized separation. The movie now takes a twist with the entry of new temporary art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) at the boarding school.
Nikumbh Sir breaks the rules of "how things are done" to allow students to learn with joy and optimism. His technique of teaching students using thoughts, dreams and imaginations becomes successful with all students, except Ishaan. Nikumbh notices Ishaan is unhappy and decides to discover the reason. He reviews all past works of Ishaan and concludes all failures to be reflective of dyslexia. Nikumbh even meets Ishaan's parents and informs them that Ishaan is a bright child different from other students in the class. Where Aamir visits Ishaan’s house and forces his father Nandakishore Awasthi (Vipin Sharma) to read letters written in Chinese on a toy box, ridiculing him when he can’t. Back in class, Nikumbh highlights the topic of dyslexia in class and mentions some famous people who were dyslexic, such as Albert Einstein, Leonardo Di Vinci, Walt Disney, Agatha Christie, Thomas Edison, and actor Abhishek Bachchan.
With the permission of school principal (M.K. Raina), Nikumbh sets to tutor Ishaan. Using specific methods and techniques, Ishaan starts developing interest in language and mathematical skills. Eventually, grades start to improve. An art fair is organized for students and teachers alike by Nikumbh at the end of the year. As expected, Ishaan wins the contest while his teacher, Nikumbh is declared the runner-up. Ishaan's parents are surprised at the drastic improvement in their child's grades and realize their shortcomings.

Peter and Paula Imafidon both passed A level maths despite being at primary school and having had just three years of formal education. The twins from east London sat the exams, which are normally taken by 18-year-olds, 11 years ahead of the curriculum.

They said that they had found lessons with their peers boring. They said: "Sometimes at school, the teacher goes a bit too slow for us, but we just encourage and help our friends if they get stuck instead."

A spokesman for the family said they were "overwhelmed" with the results, but would not reveal their exact grades. He said: "They both passed well.

"It was not down to any pressure from their parents, the children just like adding up and playing with numbers. They are both really happy with what's happened." At six, Peter and Paula became some of the youngest children to pass GCSEs. They managed G grades in statistics. Paula went one better in maths with an F, Peter getting another G.

They attend a state school in Waltham Forest, but were given extra lessons at a centre run by the Excellence in Education group. Three years ago their sister Samantha passed GCSEs in maths and statistics, with D and C grades respectively at the age of seven. At the time she was believed to be the youngest child to pass two GCSEs in one sitting.

Peter Dunn, a spokesperson for the International Gateway for Gifted Youth based at the University of Warwick, said: "Often gifted young people can feel isolated but will prosper when given more opportunities to meet and interact with other gifted young people in situations in which they can both socialise and learn."

In 1981 Ruth Lawrence entered the record books by achieving a grade A in her Pure Mathematics A-level when she was only nine-years-old. By the age of 13 she became the youngest British person ever to earn a first-class degree and the youngest known graduate of Oxford University.

Her son weighed 2.7 kg (6 lb) at birth and was named Gerardo after her doctor. Gerardo was raised believing that Lina was his sister, but found out at the age of ten that she was his mother. The surgery was performed by Dr. Lozada and Dr. Busalleu, with Dr. Colretta providing anesthesia. Her case was reported in detail by Dr. Edmundo Escomel to La Presse Medicale, along with the additional details that her menarche had occurred at 8 months of age, and that she had had prominent breast development by the age of 4. By age 5 her figure displayed pelvic widening and advanced bone maturation.

The origin of the Universe.

The universe is big in both space and time and, for much of humankind’s history, was beyond the reach of our instruments and our minds. That changed dramatically in the 20th century. The advances were driven equally by powerful ideas from Einstein’s general relativity to modern theories of the elementary particles and powerful instruments from the 100- and 200-inch reflectors that George Ellery Hale built, which took us beyond our Milky Way galaxy, to the Hubble Space Telescope, which has taken us back to the birth of galaxies. Over the past 20 years the pace of progress has accelerated with the realization that dark matter is not made of ordinary atoms, the discovery of dark energy, and the dawning of bold ideas such as cosmic inflation and the multiverse.

The universe of 100 years ago was simple: eternal, unchanging, consisting of a single galaxy, containing a few million visible stars. The picture today is more complete and much richer. The cosmos began 13.7 billion years ago with the big bang. A fraction of a second after the beginning, the universe was a hot, formless soup of the most elementary particles, quarks and leptons. As it expanded and cooled, layer on layer of structure developed: neutrons and protons, atomic nuclei, atoms, stars, galaxies, clusters of galaxies, and finally superclusters. The observable part of the universe is now inhabited by 100 billion galaxies, each containing 100 billion stars and probably a similar number of planets. Galaxies themselves are held together by the gravity of the mysterious dark matter. The universe continues to expand and indeed does so at an accelerating pace, driven by dark energy, an even more mysterious form of energy whose gravitational force repels rather than attracts.

Skin Allergies.

An powerful approach to managing skin allergies has three components. Firstly you need to comprehend the condition, then you should discover if anything is triggering your skin reaction, and thirdly you must look following your skin.Quite a few people believe that allergies only impact the respiratory or digestive systems, but they are able to also affect your largest organ- your skin. As with other allergies the immune system overreacts to the presence of specific substances and releases inflammation-producing chemicals. Do some research and talk to your doctor. You can be confident of controlling your skin condition greater should you be sure you realise what causes it.

The second component in managing a skin allergy is identifying then eliminating the allergens and irritants that commence the itching/scratching cycle. There are over 3 thousand recognised triggers for skin allergies. Many are natural, but there are actually lots of man-made ones too.A widespread man-made trigger is latex, which comes from the sap of the Brazilian rubber tree. The natural proteins and those added within the manufacturing procedure can trigger an allergic reaction. Many people are conscious that this can result in reactions should you wear latex gloves. Nevertheless latex is also present in baby pacifiers, balloons, pencil erasers and elastic bands in undergarments. There can also be problems when latex particles become airborne and are inhaled. For those who have a latex allergy make an effort to stay clear of the material and use vinyl or plastic where probable.Nickel is an additional trigger. Additionally to the obvious nickel-containing metallic objects like coins and jewelry, nickel is also present in everyday objects like scissors, bathroom and kitchen cabinet handles, and zippers. Mascara, eye shadow and eye pencils also include nickel. Professionals estimate that the number of people today suffering from a nickel allergy has risen about 40% within the last decade. A lot of this is believed to be on account of the popularity of body piercing. Some foods also have natural nickel content and people who suffer severe symptoms may have to have to restrict their diet plan under medical supervision. At present there’s no solution to desensitise an individual with a nickel allergy. Avoidance is the finest technique.

The third component of productive management is looking following your skin. The easiest thing to do is to keep your fingernails short to minimise the damage caused by scratching.Managing your skin’s condition means firstly moisturising and softening the skin to guarantee it does not dry out. Your doctor could suggest you use topical corticosteroid preparations to control the inflammation. When you take a bath soak in lukewarm water for 20 to 30 minutes. Don’t have hot baths or showers, as the heat will increase skin dryness and itching. You could add oatmeal or baking soda to the bath for a soothing effect, though it does not aid moisturise the skin.Use a mild soap or a non-soap cleanser with neutral pH (pH7). If you wish to add bath oils do so right after you might have been inside the water so that it can seal within the moisture. Don’t use bubble baths as they can form a barrier that stops the bathwater moisturising your skin.Immediately after the bath dry your self by patting your skin having a soft towel. This assists retain moisture. Immediately after drying your skin apply a lotion or emollient cream to help your skin retain the moisture.

To look right after your skin you may also need to have to avoid situations where you’ll expertise extreme physical contact, heavy perspiration, or heavy clothing. This could mean avoiding some sports. Swimming is permissible for those who rinse the chlorine from your skin as soon as you leave the pool, and use a moisturiser right after drying your self.Follow these three actions and you might be able to control your skin allergy and minimise its impact on your everyday life.

Oldest Mother

Oldest Mother-world record set by Omkari Panwar who gave birth at 70 years old

Omkari Panwar, a 70-year-old grandmother from India gave birth to twins, setting the world record for the oldest mother.

Omkari Panwar and her 77-year-old husband Charan Singh Panwar, a retired farmer who has two adult daughters and five grandchildren, underwent IVF treatment to produce a male heir to the family’s smallholdings were desperate for a son and heir.. Her husband, Charan Singh Panwar, 77, mortgaged his land, sold his buffalos, spent his life savings and took out a credit card loan to finance the treatment.

Panwar was reluctant to speak because he has received negative publicity for his wife's having children at such an advanced age. Even many people of his village in India's state of Uttar Pradesh haven't supported the decision. Still, he and his wife are happy.

The twins born one month premature and each weighing two pounds, nine ounces are healthy and expected to survive, according to doctors at Jaswant Roy Speciality Hospital, where they are in incubators, the paper goes onto add.

Panwar's doctor Nisha Mallik, who delivered the twins, explained some of the details of the pregnancy. "Omkari is a 70-year-old patient who has conceived through IVF fertilization with a pre-term of 32 weeks. Due to some complications, we had to start with the caesarian section. She has delivered twins," explained Panwar. "I have been practicing medicine for 20 years and I have never heard of such a case." She underwent in-vitro fertilization, after which the couple's wish was granted when the twins, a boy and a girl, were delivered by Caesarian section.

Panwar claimed for eight months the pregnancy was hectic and very painful. But she has given birth before, so she knew what to expect. "Sometimes, you have to face the pain if you want something good. All she cares about is that her children are healthy. "Her daughters' have got a little brother; her husband and she have got an heir – that is all we ever wanted."

Panwar broke the record for the world’s oldest mother, previously held by Adriana Lliescu who gave birth to a daughter in 2005, at the age of 66, but Panwar being the world’s oldest mother didn’t even cross her mind. She stated “If I am the world oldest mother it means nothing to me. I just want to see my new babies and care for them while I am still able”.
